Kirkland, WA, Private Residence Design: Living Room Fireplace & Entry
For this living room fireplace we wanted a modern look, with an industrial twist without making the space feel too cold. We reframed the existing fireplace wall and designed a new asymmetrical volume to include the TV and fireplace. We created a deep build-out that allowed us to recess the TV and sound bar and off-set the fireplace in a 6” recessed cavity.
Kirkland, WA, Private Residence Design: Kitchen Columns
We increased the size of the existing columns next to the kitchen to balance the large fireplace and applied a more textured concrete finish. A recessed flush base with 1/4” reveals completes the concrete elements emphasizing the industrial theme.

Kirkland, WA, Private Residence: Game Room
The existing family room was re-designed into a game room. We designed a new extra deep closet in the game room with triple sliding doors to provide a safe area for the children to play games, watch television and store their toys. We integrated a floating desk with drawers for their future homework and full height shelves to create great organization.
Kirkland, WA, Private Residence Design: Game Room
With the closet doors open, the kids can watch TV and have plenty of access to their toys and games. However, when the kids are in bed, or mom and dad are entertaining they can close the closet doors to hide any clutter. The custom sliding doors were designed with tempered, white glass with finger prints proof film and soft close hardware. We painted a white tree with orange leaves on the opposing wall. The composition of the tree incorporates the kid’s favorite characters.
Kirkland, WA, Private Residence Design: Master Bedroom
We designed and furnished the master bedroom with soft, plush and comfortable furniture and developed custom drapery and bedding. A monochromatic color scheme was provided to create a tranquil and relaxing setting.

The modern bathroom, with floor to ceiling tile adds a calming feature from the soft neutrals colors.
Queen Anne, Seattle, Private Residence, Bathroom Design
The floor-to-ceiling patterned porcelain tile is highlighted by a textured-glass-tile strip across the whole feature wall. This is balanced by a cement-looking tile in the shower and floor area, creating a solid contrast against the bold pattern.
Seattle Condominium Design: Kitchen and Dining Area
This remodeled Seattle condo's color scheme features warm and cool shades of grey, contrasting with the warm hardwood color of the floor. Under the hardwood is an additional cork underlayment for noise reduction, so crucial in a condominium. Kitchen remodeling included maximizing additional storage, creating a new eating bar area, and installing cool grey glass tile backsplash. (It is the same tile that surrounds the living room fireplace.) New can lights in the ceiling and pendant lights complete the elegant look. The dining area showcases new acrylic chairs that are transparent, a clever way to give an illusion of additional space.
Seattle Condominium Design: Living Area
This iconic, royal blue “egg chair” really “makes” the space with its brilliant pop of color, and the various shades of grey in the entire remodeled Seattle condo seeming to lead us directly to it in the living room. The focal point is the fireplace, which showcases its surrounding elegant cool grey glass tile vertical finish (the same kind of tile as the horizontal warm earthy grey glass finish of the bathroom backsplash). The Space Needle shows up in the view outside the window of this Queen Anne condominium.
Seattle Condominium Design: Bathroom
This Seattle bathroom was remodeled incorporating beautiful finishes, gorgeous lighting, and a luxurious tub/shower. The splendid long mirror extends over the entire open wall, and the LED lighting on all four edges is a glamourous touch. The horizontal tile backsplash echoes the vertical surround of the same tile on the living room fireplace.

West Seattle Townhome Design: Living and Dining Area
The kitchen, dining room, and living room exemplify the open space concept in that they all comprise one long, spacious room. The far accent wall is painted a dusky blue, with all the other walls painted various shades of beige. The glass dining table and the Noguchi glass coffee table, both transparent, create a pleasing illusion of even more roominess. The window treatments are elegant Roman shades of designer drapery fabric. The blue sofa harmonizes with the blue wall, and includes custom-made pillows with a contrasting, eye-catching design. Opposite the sofa is the focal point: a floor-to-ceiling-height fireplace made of wood-looking porcelain to give a rustic look. It contains a recessed TV screen above the fireplace. The bamboo flooring is set off by the blue and tan rug, which defines the living-room space in this expansive area.
West Seattle Townhome Design: Rustic Kitchen
The shape of the kitchen was changed to L-shaped, creating roominess. Does the bamboo flooring look familiar? It’s an extension of the living and dining area flooring, giving a continuous, clean look. A variety of finishes – the blue tile on the pony wall, the brown quartz countertops, and the metallic brown tiles of the backsplash – creates an interesting, harmonious atmosphere. Clutter is minimized by the built-in, recessed microwave and the open shelf made for inserting wine glasses and bottles. Can lights and cabinet undermount lighting guarantee that you can see what you’re slicing! It is a stylish, functional space in which to cook dinner.
Seattle Condominium Design: Living and Dining Area
This is a new space transformed with unique reupholstery of the existing dining room chairs. The result: a modern, chic design with industrial structures, against a stunning backdrop surround of beautiful Seattle architecture, leaving views unobstructed.

Seattle Private Residence Design: Beach House Bathroom
This clever interior design utilizes a vertical green tile for the bathroom sink backsplash, the shower wall design, and the shower niche. The green makes a harmonious complement to the sandy color of the sink and walls, giving the bathroom an attractive beach motif that beckons.
Seattle Private Residence Design: Beach House Bathroom
The tub/shower walls pick up the sandy, wavy beach motif of another bathroom in this house on the beach for coastal living near Seattle. Make remodeling fun by using the same dark brown, rich-textured backsplash on both the sink and the tub/shower niche, and mischievously put one vertical and the other one horizontal. Then the various textures in this bathroom form a harmonious whole.
